Brooks Macdonald has appointed Andrea Montague as executive director and chief financial officer.
The role, which is effective from August 1, comes after two of Brooks Macdonald’s senior management team left the company earlier this year.
In January, Ben Thorpe, chief financial officer, and Lynsey Cross, chief operating officer, announced they were stepping down from the board.
Thorpe will leave the firm on June 30.
Montague was most recently group chief risk officer at Aviva, where she had previously been group chief financial controller.
She said: “I am excited to join Brooks Macdonald, a business with a strong focus and a clear strategy.
“I look forward to working with Andrew Shepherd, his team and the board to accelerate the company’s growth.”
Before working at Aviva, she held senior finance leadership positions at Royal London and Standard Life and earlier in her career she worked at Scottish & Newcastle and PWC.
Richard Price, Brooks Macdonald's acting chairman, said: "I am delighted to welcome Andrea to Brooks Macdonald.
“She was the outstanding candidate in a strong field and the depth of her experience will be enormously valuable to the group in continuing to drive forward our ambitious growth strategy.”
