A veteran fund manager will leave JP Morgan after almost 30 years with the firm.
London-based John Baker is set to retire from the asset manager in spring 2024.
Baker joined JP Morgan in 1994 as a graduate trainee.
He is currently a co-manager on seven funds including the £226.3mn JPM Equity Income and the £17.7mn JPM UK Dynamic Fund.
On Tuesday (October 31) Anthony Lynch, Alexander Whyte, Blake Crawford and Victoria Helvert took on additional portfolio management responsibilities, alongside the existing managers.
A spokesperson for JP Morgan said: “John will remain a named portfolio manager until [spring 2024] to support a smooth transition of responsibilities – a transition that will be well supported by the strong depth of talent within our International Equity Group.
“There will be no change to the investment process of any strategies.”
Data shows Baker outperformed his peer group in overall markets in five years out of 10.
