UK later life lender, Standard Life Home Finance, has launched a series of online clinics for advisers active, or interested in, the later life lending market.

Starting on Wednesday (October 16), the online clinics, hosted by the Standard Life Home Finance’s team and guests, will focus each week on a different area of the market and process.

The clinics will cover a range of topics designed to support advisers with their later life lending advice propositions.

There will be overviews of the Standard Life Home Finance product range, information on how to secure leads and referrals in the later life lending space, detail on the underwriting process and how it can impact advice strategies.

The clinics will also provide insight into how cases move through the conveyancing process to completion, and a tutorial showcasing a range of online tools and technology designed to support advisers.

Standard Life Home Finance head of sales, Sanjay Gadhia, said: “We’re acutely aware of the growing interest in the later life lending market from an adviser community who are increasingly seeing older borrowers with a variety of lending needs.

“At the same time, we know that the later life lending market moves fast, and even those specialist advisers immersed in the sector, are often looking for a refresher into what is currently available.”

Gadhia added that advisers also may want detailed information on how they might grow their propositions, particularly in areas like lead generation, marketing and utilising the enhanced technology tools that are available.

“Our clinic sessions, taking place through October and November, are designed to provide detailed analysis, information and showcase benefits to advisers already active, those who want to do more, and those who want to make their mark in the sector,” he added.

“Early accessible online, the Standard Life Home Finance team will be providing plenty of food for thought and tangible resources and support for advisers, and we hope many in the community will be able to join us for what promises to be a series of enjoyable, interactive sessions.”

The full list of clinics includes “How you can enhance your advice offering with Standard Life Home Finance” and “The underwriter’s perspective: key insights to enhance your advice strategy”.

Adviser attendees are able to attend all the sessions or cherry-pick individual clinics.
